Asymptomatic cases of COVID: Update in isolation guidance

The self-isolation guidance for those people who test positive (LFD or PCR) for Covid while having no symptoms, has been amended.

  • There is no change for those people who test positive and remain asymptomatic.   They must self-isolate for 10 days, up to and including day 10, (with day 0 being the test day, they are free to leave their home and garden on day 11).
  • For those people who test positive and have no symptoms but become unwell with Covid symptoms during their self-isolation period, they must restart the 10 days from the day after they become unwell.
